Agenda Unveiled For The Only In-Person Water Midstream Conference On The Calendar In 1H21

March 3, 2021: Hundreds of oilfield water industry leaders plan to gather this May 12th and 13th at the Hyatt Regency Frisco to discuss industry trends, market structure/solutions, and other business topics related to produced water and pre-frac source water.

The conference agenda was unveiled for the first time today, and can be viewed here: oilfieldwater.com/markets. Highly regarded industry leaders will continue to be added as speakers to the panels and sessions, and the topics may be refined as the event organizers continue to discuss key trends with professionals in the field to deliver a topical agenda.

This agenda marks the resumption of an engaging executive discussion that began at the Oilfield Water Connection’s two sold-out water finance events in 2019 but paused for the pandemic in 2020. As the industry gets back to work and is ready to gather again, this May 2021 discussion will provide oilfield water market customers, suppliers, and investors with direct access to market intelligence and decision makers in a way no other event this year can replicate.

Also today, Oilfield Water Connection is excited to announce that Michael LaMotte, Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners, will kick off the market discussion on the event’s main stage. Michael will deliver an opening keynote presentation at the event addressing how the oilfield water sector fits into the sustainable finance narrative reshaping capital markets.

Because the modern oilfield water industry is still in a formative phase, a tremendous opportunity exists for firms to define their identity in a way that resonates with investors who are allocating capital around themes like circular economies and zero waste streams.

Michael LaMotte is a highly respected research analyst turned investment banker with more than two decades of Wall Street experience in the energy and environment sectors. He is known for his independent thinking and deeply researched market perspectives.

“We are extremely pleased that Michael LaMotte accepted our invitation to kick off this event,” said Joseph Triepke, one of the conference organizers. “Having worked for Michael as a research analyst on his team in the past, I recognize his talent as one of the foremost thinkers in the energy sector. Michael is one of those guys that makes me think ‘I wish I’d thought of that’ every time he speaks. I’m excited to see him taking an active role in the oilfield water sector, and we all look forward to his remarks as a great way to start to this important conference.”

Following the opening keynote address, a series of high-profile water business people, market experts, and analysts will discuss key trends over the next day and a half. Carefully constructed panels will immerse attendees in a deep discussion about the latest market trends, opportunities, and risks in oilfield water management.
