Mr. Gornick is the co-founder and CEO of 9Band Operating, which operates 1200 wells in West Texas. He also founded East Peak Resources LLC in 2015 which owns interests in wells across North America and is currently drilling in the Permian Basin and Southwest Wyoming. He also served as Director of Reservoir Engineering at Whiting Petroleum and was the Southern Division Engineering Manager for QEP which included the Permian Basin and Haynesville Shale.
Mr. Gornick has experience in nearly every aspect of oil and gas E&P companies including A&D, Reserves, Operations, Marketing, and Business Administration. He has hands on experience in secondary and tertiary recovery including CO2 and steam flooding operations.
Mr. Gornick has an MS in Mineral Economics and Operations Research and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. His career began as a field roustabout, and he has worked nearly every position on the ladder to the executive suite.
