Jim Summers

CEO
H2O Midstream

Over his 30-year career in the energy industry, Jim has held senior leadership positions at integrated oil and gas majors Conoco and BP, as well as privately held start-ups. Prior to forming H2O Midstream in 2016, Jim spent 18 months as a Partner with Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a global sustainability consulting firm, leading their Integrated Water Management and Midstream sectors for the Southern Division.

As the former COO at Energy Water Solutions and Sector Leader for both Water and Midstream at ERM, Jim became recognized as a subject matter expert in working with producers to identify critical risks, develop long-term solutions to complex operational challenges, and improve profitability. In addition to his role as CEO for H 2 O Midstream, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Houston Urban Debate League and the FiveTwo Network and acts as a volunteer mentor for students in the HISD urban debate program.

Jim holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma and is a sought-after speaker on the unique ESG benefits of oilfield water midstream.
