Mr. Edling is a PE with 30 years of project experience. Early in his career, he was a Civil Engineer Corps Officer for the US Navy at Naval Air Station Barbers Point and Marine Corps Base Hawaii. After obtaining his master’s degree, Mr. Edling was assigned as an assistant professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point for three years where he taught environmental engineering to cadets. After 9 years of military service, Mr. Edling started his “China years” focusing on designing and building wastewater treatment plants for steel mills, automotive factories, and refineries. During that time, Mr. Edling learned of the need to implement “Zero Liquid Discharge” systems. In 2010, Mr. Edling joined Vacom Systems and has been designing MVR evaporator and crystallizer systems ever since. Vacom Systems, is now a part of Xylem and Mr. Edling leads the team in developing ZLD systems for various industrial applications.
