Steven L. McCrossin is an oil and gas industry veteran with more than 42 years of experience spanning geophysics, seismic acquisition, exploration, drilling, well completion, permitting, surveying, and facility construction. He currently serves as Owner and President of Precision Geophysical, Inc., and provides operational leadership to LOUD Minerals, Mountaineer Well Services, and Richland Oil. His career has included virtually every stage of the oil and gas development lifecycle, from initial leasing and exploration through drilling, completion, and facility construction.
Mr. McCrossin has extensive expertise in 2D and 3D seismic acquisition and interpretation, having played a significant role in the seismic programs that helped launch the Utica Shale play in Ohio from 2010–2012. During that period, he was involved in seismic programs encompassing thousands of miles of 2D and hundreds of miles of 3D acquisition. He has worked with numerous oil and gas operators throughout the Northeast and has developed a reputation for practical, technically sound project execution and field leadership.
Today, Mr. McCrossin remains actively involved in oil and gas development and Class II injection-well projects across Ohio (LOUD Minerals), West Virginia (Cairo & Belmont), and Illinois (Marine Oil Field) and Ohio (Richland Oil), including current drilling, seismic, completion, and facility-construction initiatives. His combination of deep technical expertise, extensive field experience, and hands-on operational leadership provides a unique ability to evaluate opportunities and execute complex energy projects from concept through completion.
