February 12, 2023 – Ft Worth – Hundreds of oilfield water executives plan to gather May 16-18 at the Fort Worth Convention Center to discuss oilfield water management industry trends, market structure, and risks/opportunities at the 3rd Annual Oilfield Water Markets Conference organized by Oilfield Water Connection.
Today, Oilfield Water Connection is proud to announce that the opening keynote speaker at the event will be Chris Wright, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Energy, a top three frac service provider in the Lower 48 by active crew count with a $3bn market cap.
Mr. Wright’s public figure stature is rising as an energy expert and advocate for the many social benefits provided by the U.S. oilfield. He recently attracted national attention when he defended a competitor from a clothier’s virtue signaling campaign (pointing out the hypocrisy of refusing to sell jackets made with O&G to O&G people). More recently, he’s battled LinkedIn over knee-jerk censorship of thoughtful commentary that runs counter to anti-industry ideology.
Earlier this month, the Wall Street Journal profiled his efforts in this article and LinkedIn restored a video post of his that their censors had aggressively removed. This week, Chris appeared in a 7-minute interview on CNBC that got folks talking.
If you manage water in the Lower 48, the chances are high that some of the water in your purview originated from wells frac’ed by one of Liberty’s 40+ active frac crews. And there’s also a good chance that some of the water you recycle into frac jobs has been pumped by their crews.
“We are pleased that Mr. Wright accepted our invitation to discuss his latest views on energy and the important role that oilfield water market participants play in creating energy security and societal benefits,” said Pete Cook and Joseph Triepke, managing partners at Oilfield Water Connection. “We are also delighted that Mr. Wright plans to participate in the full event after his talk, recognizing the importance and value of water management in the oilfield supply chain. His participation in the event’s plentiful networking opportunities offers attendees an exciting and unique chance to engage with one of our industry’s stars. His talk will be a great way to kick off a productive conference.”
Following Mr. Wright’s keynote address, E&P decision makers, water midstream CEOs, analysts and other oilfield water leaders will share their perspectives on the sector’s most pressing business issues. Through the event’s informal panel discussions, attendees will be able to absorb candid remarks on the latest trends influencing market opportunities in the dynamic oilfield water markets.
Over 50 speakers (the who’s who of the industry) will take the stage following Mr. Wright’s talk. We are adding speakers to the lineup on a daily basis now, and firms sending speakers to the stage include Pioneer Natural Resources, Aris Water Solutions, Marathon Oil Corp., Surge Energy America, B3 Insight, Diamondback Energy, Apache, Rystad Energy, RWI Enhanced Evaporation, Lagoon Water Midstream, Occidental Oil & Gas, WaterBridge, Chevron, and many more.
Registration is open at the early bird rate through the end of February on the event website.
