A tool to aid reuse and recycling of produced water is now operating

A Texas-based private company, PDS Energy Information (PDS; Austin, Tex.; www.pdsenergy.com), recently announced that it is commercially operating AquaTrade — a tool developed by a National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL; Morgantown, W.Va.; www.netl.doe.gov)-led team that helps oil-and-gas operators find and use produced water from other operators, reducing the need to use freshwater and costs associated with disposal of used water.
