Oilfield Water Weekly

This time a week ago, no one knew just how well Rattler Midstream’s stock would do in its publicly-traded debut. Now we all know. That IPO floats!

After pricing in the middle of its expected price range, the new listing outperformed the broader energy market by double-digits on its first day.

Perhaps more importantly, the stock has held onto those gains, trading above the high end of the range into the closing bell yesterday. For background on why this matters to the oilfield water world, please check out our previous edition, which previewed the IPO.

Since then… plenty more oilfield water business news has hit the tape with Bloomberg reporting on a big Delaware ranch deal process and the battle for control of Texas Pacific Land Trust escalating further (is that even possible??). Those stories and much more are covered in this week’s headline recap below (never a dull moment in this space).

Meanwhile, the water field’s response to our upcoming industry gathering has been just as positive as Wall Street’s reaction to Rattler. Unlike other oilfield water events, this one is purely devoted to business model, market structure and finance issues. Speaker and sponsor opportunities have quickly been allocated to prominent industry leaders for this June 21 symposium at the Houston Petroleum Club.

The speaker lineup is final and by the time our next newsletter hits your inbox a week from now:

  • less than 25% of the seats will still be available (this event is on track to sell-out),
  • sponsorships will be sold-out (there is only one opportunity left), and
  • our room block at the Hyatt across the street will have expired.

We don’t want you to miss this! So… if you’ve been planning to register, now is the time to do it. We hope to see you in the room (there is no webcast planned and the only way to absorb the networking and knowledge sharing is to be present on June 21). Please check out the agenda and register here if you haven’t already.

To the many of you reading this email that have already signed up to sponsor, speak and/or attend – thank you! Your collective knowledge, expertise and experience ensures that this will be a highly productive day for all involved.

And now for this week’s top oilfield water industry headlines…
