Texas Pacific Land Corporation Commissions Their Orla Desal Facility
TPL has completed construction and is commissioning their 10,000 barrel per day produced water desalination test facility in Orla, Texas.
MRT Covers TPL Orla Facility Opening
The facility is outfitted with a 10,000-barrel-per-day fractional freeze desalination system that treats produced water to a quality that meets or exceeds requirements for use in agriculture, surface water discharge, construction and cooling operations. Water treated on-site will also be used to irrigate a 20-acre rehabilitation plot north of the facility.

"We aim to discharge at least 5,000 barrels a day as treated desalted water," Crain said.
